Devouring Flames
10:32
|
|||
On the edge of the cliff,
while the wind howls
a blanket of snow covers the horizon.
Under a clear sky
the warmth of the sun comforts me,
a single soul that contemplates the whole.
When the night comes
and swallows the mountains,
and small lights begin to populate the sky,
I am enchanted
and at the same time worried.
A weight on my heart overwhelms me,
thoughts crowd the mind,
knowing that day by day
nature is crumbling.
The rivers dries up,
the flames devour the woods.
But the new dawn brings a new opportunity
to end the destruction
humanity is carrying out.
Nature is crumbling.
The rivers dries up,
the flames devour.

Wastelands
08:41
|
|||
As I grope through this wasteland
I feel the suffering of the earth.
The forest that scream in pain,
nothing has changed.
Time passes but everything remains unchanged.
This is the human nature,
destroy in the name of progress.
The carcasses adorn these barren lands,
this is the human nature,
destroy in the name of progress.
Trunks that stand out like ancient ruins.
Where life once thrived, now it is gone.
Where nature was once pristine, now it is contaminated.
Forests that scream with pain,
nothing has changed.
Time passes but everything remains unchanged.
Whispers in the wind, words of need,
a request that can no longer be ignored.

An Agonized Look
07:06
|
|||
Dancing in your eyes,
comes closer and closer,
the body on the ground,
an agonized look.
The wind carries the ashes,
the fire continues to burn.
There is no escape.
You, poor defenseless creature,
you are destined to die on this day.
You have no faults,
you have no responsibility,
someone else has decided for you to end your life.
There is no escape.
Whether it be flames,
whether it be bullets,
today you will be extinguished by someone else's decision.
Another innocent soul that dies.

Indifference
08:44
|
|||
We are the creators of this devastation,
presumptuous and indifferent,
who gave us the power
to be able to eradicate lives from this world?
Indifference is what dwells in our souls
and it is the most dangerous thing.
We neglect these lands that have given us an home,
a place to live and thrive,
we neglect these trees that have given us air.
We are responsible for the dried up rivers,
for these parched lands.
We cannot ignore what is happening,
We cannot turn our backs
on the ice that is being consumed more every day,
on the dwindling forests.
Nature sends us signals, but we are not getting it at all.
